Waiting is no fun when you’re unwell or injured, which is why Medibank has opened the new Rapid Care Clinic. Get treatment within one hour for minor injuries and illnesses, like onsite x-rays and plastering for broken bones.

Rapid Care Clinic is open to everyone over 12 months old, with no appointment necessary, so you can just walk in when you need to.

And you’ll be looked after by our professional team of doctors and nurses who will make your visit as comfortable as possible.

The Rapid Care Clinic also has extended opening hours from 8am to 9pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is located just down the road at 1151 Wynnum Road, Cannon Hill. You can call the Rapid Care Clinic on (07) 3146 5200.

Rapid Care Clinic only treats minor injuries and illnesses. More serious conditions should be treated at a hospital emergency room. Below are some examples of what can and can’t be treated at the clinic:

Rapid Care Clinic treats

Minor injuries and illness, including:

        • Sprains or possible breaks

        • Minor burns

        • Cuts that may require stitches

        • Minor eye or ear conditions

        • Minor sports injuries

        • General medical conditions

Rapid Care Clinic does not treat

Serious medical conditions, including:

        • Chest pain

        • Severe breathing difficulty

        • Acute or severe stomach pain

        • Severe burns

        • Loss of consciousness

        • Pregnancy related conditions

        • Serious head & neck injuries
