History of the Association

Abruzzo is a region in central Italy. Founded in 1979 by Abruzzese people, the Brisbane Abruzzo Association is a non-profit organisation.

Due to the effort and commitment of the volunteers the Club has grown into the facility it is today. The Abruzzo Club boasts a restaurant with bar and children's room, function room, bocce courts and soccer fields in a private setting on six acres with ample car parking and wheelchair access.

The Association also supports charities through fundraising events. These include Australia's Biggest Morning Tea and our Italian Christmas Festival for the Mater Children's Hospital.
